May 4th is going to be an incredible day that we are excited to talk about. This year for national day of prayer, Yakima valley churches are coming together in a way we haven’t in a long time. We are gathering in two ways on May 4th. From 11am-1pm there is a drop-in guided prayer walk through downtown to pray over seven areas of influence in our city. In the evening from 7pm-8:30, we’ll gather at Sozo Sports Complex to worship and pray as one Church in Yakima. As one church and one Body under one Lord, let’s join together and welcome the kingdom of Heaven here in Yakima.
Prayer walk: Participants will receive a map of seven locations they can walk through themselves or be guided through by a leader. Each location will have a community leader who will share information about their area of influnce and ways we can be praying. Prayer opportunities will be available at each location. The expected length of the prayer walk is about 40 minutes long. Participants should begin at the Yakima Herald Republic located at 114 N 4th St #2707, Yakima, WA 98901 and can park in the east parking lot.
Prayer and Worship: Gather together as one church and hear from community leaders and hold up our city in the presence of the Lord. Gather and lift your voices together. This gathering will take place at Sozo Sports Complex. We will be assembling outside, weather permitting. An indoor venue is available if the weather does not cooperate. You might want to bring a jacket or blanket if we are outside!
